Moraa loves tinkering! She is currently a 7 year old girl who began learning the basics of computer programming concepts at age 6. Through the Scratch Programming knowledge that she acquired for over a year now, she loves creating games and animations that expresses her bubbly personality. In this class, she creates a“Ping Pong” game.
How the game is played
The players start at the same point. Team blue uses the letters ‘a’ & ‘b’ to move up and down while Team Red uses the ‘page up’ and ‘page down’ arrow keys. The goal is to hit the ball over the net into the other player’s side. If the opponent is unable to return the strike, a point is awarded to the other player. She creates a formula that calculates the change in score.
She also applies her logical reasoning skills to determine how to change the variable and determine the winner of the game. She cannot wait to create and play more games in future!
